Welcome to Sciencemotionology.com!!
Back in 2010, in Porto (Portugal), I had the wonderful opportunity to take a fascinating workshop with Janet Iwasa. There I began to see how we could transform proteins into actors, stars of a new (at least to me) "Hollywood". And how we could be directors, producers, make-up artists, the list goes on...
So, after some hesitations I decided to venture into this new world. The first step on my journey was to create this website. Here I would like to share with you my fascination for this world of scientific animation.
The idea is simple: develop a platform on everything there is to know on scientific animation.
In other words I would like to bring together the people moving around scientific animation and provide a space for showcasing their work. There will be room for showing off the talent and paths of some of these great artists and also of the founders of studios and companies around the world dedicated to this field.
I will also focus on the tools of the trade, courses and other resources available for the fans of scientific animation, the rookies (such as myself), and for all those interested in starting your own doodles, illustrations and animations.
Finally, on this blog I would like to talk about what's happening and what's moving. With this I hope to illustrate and promote scientific animation but also to inspire all those who wish to be a part of this journey with me.
Let's keep in touch!
